Anthony Anaxagorou is a British award-winning poet, short story writer, publisher and poetry educator.
He's published several volumes of poems and essays, he has a spoken word EP and he has a collection of short stories whilst also writing for the theatre.
His poetry has been on both national television and radio, and alongside of that his work has been published in various literary magazines and anthologies. In 2015 he won a Groucho Maverick Award for his poetry and fictional writing.
Anaxagorou was the first young poet to win the 'London Mayor's Poetry Slam' in 2002, with his poem "Anthropos". Most of his work consists around the 'spiritual search for inner peace' and the 'detachment from various societal ideals'. A huge section of his work explores the themes that deal with politics, racism, history and philosophy.
Anthony usually writes about his own personal experiences in a honest and compelling style. This sort of style it what people love about him and his work.
