Live Package Changes | Development

When talking to Helen about our live package idea, she gave us some feedback on it. She wasn't sure how interesting it would be if it was just people answering questions on our viral video (our original plan), which we all understood and agreed.
She then suggested that we do some sort of obstacle course or game, and it should be related to our  topic.

We brainstormed as a group:
  • Bottle flip challenge (multiple different bottles to be flipped)
  • Obstacle course inspired by different viral videos
We were aware that our live package had to be 2 minutes long - meaning that we would only have 1 minute for the game, which then led us to believe that an obstacle course probably wasn't the best idea.
We then discussed the bottle flip challenge, but instead of having the contestants flip more than one bottle, we agreed that they should have one bottle each and try and see how many flips they could do.

[The bottle flip challenge is a very current trend going around the world - people flip bottles and try and get it to land standing up.]

After agreeing on our idea, some research was done, and we found out that someone holds the world record of the number of flips in a minute. We then added that to our idea to make it a little bit more interesting and competitive.

Here is what our live package will now include:
  • Intro (30 seconds long)
  • Bottle flip challenge (1 minute long)
    • Two students as the contestants
    • Other students as background entertainers
  • Outro (30 seconds long)
