Shot List & Storyboard | Development

Myself and Nisserin have been planning our storyboard and shot list, and discussing how we are going to produce them both. We have come to the overall decision that we will make a picture storyboard and place the pictures within a shot list. This seemed like a better idea for us as we were able to take pictures in the actual location we were using, and it would give us a better idea as to what the final outcome might look like. By having the storyboard in the shot list, it makes information and shot numbers clearer for us, and organises all of the shots in an effective and clear way for us both.

At this point, we have started writing a new draft for the script, so the storyboard we have created is based on the third draft of the script. We started by writing out all of the different shots we needed throughout the whole script, and then we travelled to the actual location, we will be using, and snapped the pictures we needed for the storyboard.

This is the current shot list we have, without any changes to the script (after the 3rd draft). There are a few pictures we are yet to take, due to the availability of the location. However, once we have the availability of all locations, we will do a test shoot there and take pictures for the shot list/storyboard.

By having a shot list and storyboard, it will help both Nisserin and I within the shoot days. We will both feel more relaxed by knowing what shot we want and when we are going to do it, and that should create a more relaxed atmosphere for everyone else on the shoot days.
